The winners will be announced on 25th March 2009.
What can I win?
Please visit the Prizes section of the website to see what you can win.
Who judges the entries?
The winners will be chosen by representatives from British Council and Shoot Experience as well as members of the UK press and prominent photographic organisations. The judges names will be published on the website as soon as they are confirmed.
Will my entries be exhibited?
We aim to exhibit a wide range or varying entries from all over the world in order to be as inclusive as possible and by entering the competition you will have a chance of being exhibited.
Which entries are being exhibited?
You will be able to see the exhibited entries in the on-line photo gallery once they have been chosen. This will show all entries being exhibited at all exhibitions around the world happening at that time.
Will my entries be credited on the website and at exhibitions?
Yes. In the on-line photo gallery the username of each photographer/artist appears in the large view of their entry, in the left-hand text column. At exhibitions each entry has a credit providing the first name of the photographer/artist, their age, country of residence and the brief the entry relates to.
What is the ‘Rate this photo’ option in the photo gallery?
In the large view of any entry in the photo gallery visitors to the site can rate the entry between 1 and 5. The results of each visitor’s rating are averaged to give the entry an overall rating. These ratings will not influence judges decisions but are simply a way to gauge public opinion and encourage interaction with the website. Visitors will only be able to rate an entry once.
